SUMMIT — Students supporting students SUMMIT is a student-led nonprofit building structured peer support for students in Grades 7–12. Our work begins in Edmonton, with a vision to reach schools across Alberta and Canada. OUR MODEL Trained student volunteers, supported by school counselling staff, listen, respect boundaries, and help peers connect with appropriate resources. Peer support complements professional care. WHAT WE ARE WORKING TOWARD • Structured peer support with training, clear boundaries, and referral pathways. • Student-led workshops on stress, academic pressure, supporting friends, and finding resources. • Fundraising for quiet rooms, peer support spaces, and resource libraries in schools. FOR A SCHOOL CONVERSATION Share this introduction with a counsellor or student leadership team. Discuss existing support, unmet needs, staff oversight, and how student voices can shape a safe program. Programs described here are in development; this introduction is not a booking or confirmation of program availability.
